Omakase Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi‑ku, Osaka; CEO: Eisuke Watanabe; hereinafter “Omakase”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Remixpoint, Inc. (Head Office: Minato‑ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoshihiko Takahashi; hereinafter “Remixpoint”) to support the roll‑out of Remixpoint’s crypto‑asset staking and validator operations.
In 2024 the United States approved spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, accelerating capital inflows into the market. In November of the same year, U.S. ETF provider Bitwise decided to enter the staking business through an M&A deal*1. Interest in staking as an income‑generating strategy has surged further: in April 2025, spot ETFs with staking functionality were approved in both Hong Kong and Canada.
Crypto‑assets that use Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus—such as Ethereum and Solana—currently command a combined market capitalization of roughly JPY 34 trillion*2 and offer annual staking yields of around 3.5–7 percent. By operating validators, participants can not only capture these yields but also contribute to network security and on‑chain governance. A key challenge, however, is the geographic concentration of validators in North America and Europe.
Remixpoint has recently launched a Financial Investment Business as a new revenue pillar, expanding into crypto‑asset and equity investments as well as lending. To date the company has purchased crypto‑assets worth a cumulative JPY 10 billion, underscoring its commitment to the sector. Through the validator business, Remixpoint aims to move beyond passive investment and play an active role in the development of the Web3 ecosystem, bolstering network safety and transparency as a Japanese validator while creating new revenue streams in the crypto‑asset space.
Omakase is an ISO 27001‑ and SOC 2 Type 2‑certified validator operator that runs nodes on 20+ blockchains and provides validator and staking‑backend solutions to multiple enterprises. Under this alliance Omakase will deliver end‑to‑end support—from infrastructure build‑out and monitoring to risk management—helping Remixpoint maximize staking returns on its crypto‑asset holdings. The partnership will strengthen Remixpoint’s presence as a Japanese firm enhancing blockchain decentralization and resilience.
Together, the two companies will promote more sophisticated staking services in Japan, advance regional decentralization of PoS networks, and contribute to the healthy growth of the global blockchain ecosystem.
