Omakase Inc. Appointed as an EigenLayer Operator for KelpDAO, Managing Over 160 Billion Yen in Assets

Omakase Inc. Appointed as an EigenLayer Operator for KelpDAO, Becoming the Third Company Worldwide

We are pleased to announce that Omakase Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “our company”) has been selected as the third company worldwide to serve as an EigenLayer operator for the liquid restaking protocol KelpDAO.

Omakase Inc. was established in January 2024 as a subsidiary focused on engineering under Kudasai Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Kudasai”). Currently, we operate validators across 18 chains, including both mainnet and testnet environments. In addition to validator operations, we provide comprehensive project support, including content creation in collaboration with Kudasai and the development of blockchain explorers. Furthermore, we have been actively operating as an EigenLayer operator since its testnet phase and will continue to do so on the mainnet.

KelpDAO is the fourth-largest liquid restaking protocol compatible with EigenLayer, managing over 160 billion yen in Total Value Locked (TVL). This protocol allows users to deposit ETH and other liquid restaking tokens (such as ETHx, stETH, and sfrxETH) in exchange for rsETH, enabling them to earn multiple restaking rewards. Restaking, led by EigenLayer, has become a highly regarded category within the global crypto ecosystem, with EigenLayer alone managing nearly 3 trillion yen in assets.

As a leading Japanese entity, we take pride in managing validators for globally influential projects while contributing not only to validator operations but also to the development of blockchain explorers, tax calculation tools, and other technological advancements. Additionally, by leveraging our collaboration with Kudasai, we aim to provide comprehensive support for various projects, further enhancing Japan’s presence in the global blockchain industry.
