Omakase Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; Representative Director: Eisuke Watanabe; "Omakase") has been selected to cooperate as the technical partner for Avalanche blockchain validator node operations conducted by Sumitomo Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shingo Ueno; "Sumitomo Corporation").
Avalanche is a Proof-of-Stake blockchain known for high throughput and low latency. Stable validator operations are essential to maintaining the availability and security of a PoS network. Under this initiative, the parties will operate validator nodes on the Avalanche mainnet and verify the validity of the operating model, technical requirements, profitability, and risk-management processes.
As a validator operator certified under ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, Omakase has operated nodes across more than 30 blockchains and has supported multiple enterprises with validator operations and staking backend technology. Through this initiative, Omakase will provide end-to-end support for Sumitomo Corporation's Avalanche validator launch, from infrastructure buildout to operational monitoring. This allows Sumitomo Corporation to stand up and operate validator nodes quickly and securely while contributing to the decentralization and resilience of blockchain infrastructure and advancing its commercial evaluation of validator operations.
